In some cases, a model schematic can be constructed to simulate a model.  A model schematic may look nothing like a network, but simply represent pipes by a series of conveniently located two dimensional lines. Correct pipe lengths can be entered by fixing the length under the Edit Box.

Warning:  Schematic Models, although convenient in simplifying models, have major restrictions which can affect their functionality in Pumpsimâ„¢.  Pumpsimâ„¢ uses true pipe locations to calculate elevation, schematic models are largely unsuitable for Pumpsimâ„¢ models.
